Hi, my name is Angie Parris-Raney and I am the owner of Good Health Massage Therapy. I offer you a number of years of experience in helping people of all ages relieve pain and in encouraging a proactive approach to stress management. Many of my clients have found relief from conditions such as:
- Fibromyalgia
- Back and neck pain
- Low back and hip pain
- Arthritis and Sports injuries
- Sciatica and Tendonitis
- Carpal Tunnel
- Job Stress
Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress related. When the mind/body perceives a threat or stressor, it begins to respond with a "fight or flight" response. In essence, the body shuts down secondary functions in order to protect vital organs for basic survival. Taking a proactive approach to bringing the mind/body out of this fight or flight response can help facilitate balance and assist in preventing disease, increase energy, and promote a healthy immune system.

Massage is beneficial at any age and for a variety of conditions. The Touch Research Institute (TRI) has researched the effects of massage therapy at all stages of life, from newborns to senior citizens. In these studies, TRI has shown that touch therapy has many positive effects. For example, massage therapy:
- Facilitates weight gain in preterm infants
- Enhances attentiveness
- Alleviates depressive symptoms
- Reduces pain
- Reduces stress hormones
- Improves immune function
Because I firmly believe that massage is such an important component to a personal health plan, I am committed to always offering you superior quality massage at affordable prices and I hope that we can partner together to help you achieve balance and Good Health.
